Johnnie Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Paul Jones, Sr., and Parnell Mines Jones, both of Savannah, GA. He is survived by his cousins, Allynne Tosca Owens of Savannah, GA, Wanda Owens Jones of Atlanta, GA, Tiffany James Straughter of Savannah, GA, Avis Hull Buford of Mobile, AL, Portia Jones Benbow (Kenny) of Atlanta, GA, Alvin Jones, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, Allen Franklin Jones (Toi) of Savannah, GA, and a host of other family and friends.

It is with deep sadness that we inform you that Shirley Ann Hull James transitioned this life for her heavenly home on Friday, August 19, 2022, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. Shirley was 73 years old and lived a very full life. She was born on October 19, 1949.
Cherishing her memory are her beloved daughter Tiffany James Straughter and three wonderful grandchildren Corey, Jr. Cameron, and Grace; her sisters Allynne Tosca Owens (Savannah, GA), Constance Hull Harrison (Augusta, GA), Susian Hull (Atlanta, GA), Emmerstine (Josette) Hull Mackie (Augusta, GA), Valerie Hull (Augusta, GA), and Rev. Wanda Owens Jones (Atlanta, GA); Brothers: Rev. Dwayne Hull (Guam), and Marcus Hull (Macon, GA); loving nieces, Mrs. Avis Hull Buford, Portia Jones Benbow (Kenneth, Sr.); nephews Alvin Jones, Jr. and Allen Franklin Jones (ToiDerrica), and a host of relatives and close friends.
Preceding her in passing are her parents: Joseph Hull, II and Zelma Mines Hull Owens, her beloved brother, Joseph Hull III, and dear cousin Martha Brooker Farmer.
At Shirley’s request, the family will not have a funeral. Please pray for the family and thank you all for your love and support during this difficult time.

Zelma Mines Owens, 92, entered eternal life on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at home and in the presence of her family. She was a native and lifelong resident of Savannah, Georgia. Born on May 15, 1929, Zelma was the youngest of four surviving children born to George and Leila Brooker Mines. Zelma was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Allen Owens. She was the mother of Shirley Hull James, Joseph Hull, III (deceased), Allynne Tosca Owens, and Wanda Owens Jones.
